Sense of Membership Survey

This scale measures youth’s perceptions of belonging and engagement. Participants should take this survey before participating in this course to establish a benchmark for their sense of belonging, and again after the course to determine if and how they feel after engaging with the material and each other.

This scale is Modified from Goodenow C. (1993). The psychological sense of school membership among adolescents: Scale development and educational correlations. Goodenow, C., 1993
